Preparing for your Speaking Assessment Tips and Tricks

1. Write out your presentation multiple times The act of writing helps put the information in your brain. This applies only to hand-writing, not typing. It’s science.

2. Read your presentation out loud over and over again It helps if you stand in front of the mirror.

3. Record yourself reading the presentation 3. Record yourself reading the presentation. Now listen to it over and over. Put your headphones in and listen. Listen before you fall asleep.

4. Talk to yourself In the car In the shower While you get dressed In the bathroom mirror

5. Memorize one sentence at a time. Get the first sentence down pat, then add the second. Once you can say both sentences fluently, add the third, etc.
