Needs and challenges of the project Interactive assistance at home for cognitive disabled elderly persons cognitively impaired persons at early stage (i.e Alzheimers ’) Health monitoring and customized daily memory support Support to emotional and social sustainable communication and links by designing an interactive inclusive and safe home environment Interactions needed through a safe integrated domotic environment system between: the elderly cognitively impaired person the healthcare environment the home and social environment the assistance system

Innovative technical system proposal System composed by two main complementary and integrated devices : an environment-interactive robot providing assistance, memo, agenda, events recall facilities a health-safety stage based on vital signals/actimetrics recording and alarm management : sensors network on and around the patient (home environment) Communication facilities and data transmission between: the elderly cognitive impaired person the medical and caring team(s) the family carers through a domestic multisensors-based micro-PC (elderly person) and a central server managing and processing data (medical center)
