What did you learn about how gravity, compression and tension?

Explain what kind of bridge you decided to build. My group decided to build a suspension/truss bridge. We had a rubberband to help support the bridge just like the cables for a suspension bridge. We also had some yarn as support and we made them into triangles.

How did you plan your bridge? Why did you make those choices? We didn't really plan we just improvised on the way. Then we had a idea of putting rubber bands for a suspension bridge, but it didn't hold up so we added a truss design for support. We made these choices so our groups bridge can hold the water bottle for the ten second Ms.Koch required.

What was successful about your bridge? I think the element that worked best in our bridge was the truss design. If we didn't have the truss design the bridge would have flipped and would have failed the test. The truss held the bridge in place and dissipated the weight from the water bottle.

What was not successful about your bridge? The bridge kept leaning to one side. We could have added more trusses to balance out the bridge.

How did your group work together How did your group work together? What was easy for you group and what was hard? My group worked extremely well. It was easy we decided on the bridge idea really easy and we built the bridge with teamwork everyone did a equal amount of work.We were also really good with trial and error we kept trying till we got it right.

Based on your bridge performance, what would you do differently next time? Add more trusses so the bridge won't lean to the side next time.
