Thursday 7th November Mr Nicholls Year 11 Business Thursday 7th November Mr Nicholls

To start with…

Objectives To consider how the marketing mix applies to different sorts of organisations, and to share our ideas with one another.

Introduction We’ve thought lots about the marketing mix in relation to business – so do we mean by the ‘marketing mix’? Why might it be important to a business? How might a business apply it?

Today…we’re going to extend that… The marketing mix is important in the world of business because it helps a business/organisation create a sense of identity for its goods/services/products. Therefore – it applies to a lot more places than you’d initially think…

First off….get into a pair…

Next… You’re going to be given an organisation to cover – your task – discuss in your pairs the marketing mix for that organisation, and prepare a short (3-4 minute) talk to be given to the rest of the class explaining your organisation, and their marketing mix. Simple.

Deadline You have 30 minutes to prepare your talk. You can use the resources around the room to help you – but no others. This is about using initiative and working to deadlines – GOOD LUCK!
