Imperialism Comparison Activity

Instructions With your partner, you will be assigned a region of the world. You will use the textbook to answer questions about western imperialism in that region.

Regions Group One: Africa, p. 345-350 Group Two: Middle East, p. 352-356 Group Three: India, p. 357-361 Group Four: Southeast Asia, p. 362-365

Questions For you region answer the following questions: What western countries are colonizing? Which lands belong to each? Do any native groups remain independent? If so, how? What conflicts occur between western poers? Explain. What conflicts occur between western powers and natives? Explain. What is the impact of colonialism in the region?
