FOOD FROM THE SUN animals eat plants to get energy, other animals eat these animals, plants produce their own food from the sun.
Animation. What is photosynthesis? Leaves are green because of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll absorbs energy from the sun. It uses that energy to convert carbon.

Sample Science Project (a plant) by Ms. DeMartino

Project information All the guidelines for the project have been sent home with the students on Monday March 7th. If you need another copy, just let me know. If you choose a plant, please do not use the same one I did for this sample.

Side 1 (Name of living thing, drawing, and my name) Palm tree by Ms. DeMartino

Side 2 (How does a palm tree get air?) A palm tree is a plant. It does not have a nose, mouth, or lungs. There are tiny holes in the leaves called pores. Oxygen passes through the pores. That is how a palm tree gets air.

Side 3 (How does a palm tree get water?) A palm tree gets water from the rain or if a person waters it.

Side 4 (How does a palm tree get energy?) A palm tree does not eat food like people and animals do. Using the sun’s energy, a palm trees makes its own food. This is called photosynthesis.

Side 5 (What is a good habitat for a palm tree?) Palm trees grow best in tropical places where the weather is hot and sunny.

The end Thanks for viewing!
