The Changes 5% of Annual Fund contributions will be used to cover operating expenses shortfall and full fund the operating reserve. Additional 5% for club cash contributions for Global Grants to offset cost of processing cash ie exchange rates, etc.

Implementation Calculation of DDF available to Districts will not be affected 5% will be set aside from the World Fund Cash contributions processed by TRF for Global Grants will be assessed an additional 5% cash Cash contributions sent directly to partner club will be exempt

How it Works 2014-15 - D7040 contributes $200,000 to AF (annual fund) 2017-18 – D7040 has $100,000 DDF available 2017-18 – D7040 has contributed $95,000 to World Fund. 2017-18 – D7040 has $50,000 available for District Grants & $50,000 for Global Grants

How It Affects Global Grants The cost of processing cash contributions for grants is greater than that for AF contributions All cash contributions for Global Grants will be increased by 5% ie an additional $5 for every $100 All cash contributions are eligible for Paul Harris points and tax receipts. The option is open to transfer funds directly to an approved bank account
