McCarthyism AIM: How were civil liberties sacrificed for security during the Red Scare?

McCarthyism Making accusations of communist (commie) disloyalty with slight, doubtful, or irrelevant evidence. Accused 205 State Department Employees of being communists in 1950 at a speech in Wheeling Virginia Investigated more than 100 people as a senator.
