looping the loop! By:James Travis 11-1-13

scientific question ?? What I investigated was how much height to loop the loop. What angle will allow the marble to loop the loop

Back Ground !! The reason I picked what angle allows marbles to loop the loop is because loops are cool. I picked marble looping because marbles are small and could loop the loop at angle.

Hypothesis If I change the heights of the loop to different angles. Then the marble will loop.

Variables The Independent variable is the angles of the loop. The Dependent variable is how high the marble goes. The constant variable is the height of the track, the distance the marble travels, and the size of the marble.

Procedure 1: Get materials 2: Design loop 3: Get marble 4: Drop marble at one angle 5: See if marble loops 6: Repeat steps 3-5 at different angles

Data At a 45 degree angle the marble did not loop. At a 75 degree angle the marble did loop.

Conclusion I was measuring what angle would make a marble loop a loop. My experiment went well I measured one angle then the next until it loops. The marble did not loop until I put it at a 75 degree angle. I learned how to build the loop.
