Flooding in SE Asia

Flooding Flooding is another major environmental issue in China and India. Both nations have attempted flood control projects mostly with no success, even though flooding destroys farmland, towns, and the natural habitats of plants and animals. In 2003, the Chinese government opened the world’s most massive dam along the Yangtze River. This “Three Gorges Dam” reduces coal emissions by creating hydroelectric power, but it floods towns and farms.
