Trimester 3 Week 2 Final Major Project

In this last week you were able to: Identify your strengths within creative media Identify the skills you have gained within creative media Explore possible ideas for your Final major project

Week 2 work: Fill in the proposal form Pitch your proposal to me and other students Produce SWOT analysis of your project ideas: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats Use focus groups and lecturer to support your decision. Basically discuss the possibilities. Please record the discussion on some way or other. Fill in Project Proposal form See below: make sure to answer all the questions/prompts in red

Section 1: Rationale (approx. 150 words)   This section provides you with an opportunity to reflect on, review and summarise your progress and achievements through the first 12 units of the qualification. You should outline the knowledge, skills and understanding you have acquired. What you know now, and what it means to you, compared with what you knew and could do before you started the course, and how this has influenced your choice of discipline or disciplines and your project proposal. It also provides an opportunity for you to explain your reasons for choosing a particular discipline or disciplines and to outline both your immediate and longer-term aspirations. What is your overall area of interest? This information is essential for comprehension of your intended project. (avoid tedious length and technical details) The easiest way to start is to identify and define the central problem of your idea (observable attribute of the phenomenon), answer question: What is your project about? What is important about your project which will capture the interest of the audience? (the reader of your proposal must understand the topic of your project and has a general sense of purpose of the project)

Next up: Start project research – product research SEE the Unit 12 Research Report Evaluate and reflect on the process so far
