Broker-Owner-Manager Survey Launches Tuesday, July 1 For the past year HAR has been tracking the trends and forces currently impacting the industry, marketplace and transaction. HAR understands that these factors will have a significant impact upon the businesses and careers of HAR members. HAR realizes that the ultimate success of its members will lie in the ability of its brokerage community to adapt to these changing conditions and circumstances. In order for HAR to effectively support the Houston brokerage community during this experience, it is critical that we understand where our brokerage members stand on important issues.
Broker-Owner-Manager Survey (cont’d) On Tuesday, July 1, HAR will launch a three-part survey targeted toward its 5,000 brokers, owners and managers. The survey will cover today’s most important and evolving topics in real estate, including client ratings, professionalism, governmental regulations, leads and referrals, syndication, mobile, appointment systems, MLS (pocket listings included), transaction management and back office systems. The survey should not take more than five minutes to complete and the results will be published in The EDGE upon completion. This comprehensive survey will be delivered via email from Research@HAR.com, so please look for Part One of the survey and respond.
Weekly HAR Market Stat The season of backyard grilling, outdoor festivals and extended family vacations is upon us. Those who are already safely tucked in an owned home are not likely thinking much about the housing market, but those who are preparing to buy or sell are living it daily. Not enough inventory or not enough money offered for purchase? Too high a price or multiple offers on the table? The answers are ever-evolving and dependent upon location and situation. A new quarter of activity is almost in the books, but year-over-year comparisons on monthly and weekly activity may be more beneficial for those living the housing life. In the Houston region, for the week ending June 22: • New Listings decreased 1.0% to 2,481 • Pending Sales increased 30.2% to 2,336 • Closed Sales decreased 1.9% to 1,731
