Who do we teach to?

How do we teach ?

Motivation The institution The students Mostly worry about the test. Would rather learn « general English ». Don’t really want to be there. Mostly worry about the test. Chooses the contents. Selects the students.

Creating and maintaining motivation The teachers The students Have a personal goal as well as a professional one. Understand why the language is useful beyond the exam issue. Are not afraid to speak and « not know ». Listen to the students’ needs and mix them with the institution’s priorities. Use authentic documents to get as close as possible to the students’ reality. Make sure that it doesn’t look like school.
