Effects of the maternal acetazolamide treatment on incisor eruption of rat offspring  Natsuki Kojima, Masato Naya, Takashi Makita  Pathophysiology  Volume 5, Issue 3, Pages 185-189 (December 1998) DOI: 10.1016/S0928-4680(98)00019-4

Fig. 1 The body weight of maternal rats during the gestation period were significantly suppressed in all acetazolamide groups. In the 400×2 mg/kg per day group the suppression of body weight continued during the gestation period. Pathophysiology 1998 5, 185-189DOI: (10.1016/S0928-4680(98)00019-4)

Fig. 2 The body weight ratios of rat offspring in the 100×2 (■) and the 200×2 (▵) mg/kg per day groups were comparable to the vehicle control group (□), however, those of the 400×2 mg/kg per day group (▴) were significantly lower than the vehicle control group in both sexes. Pathophysiology 1998 5, 185-189DOI: (10.1016/S0928-4680(98)00019-4)

Fig. 3 The incisor eruption ratio of rat offspring was almost the same in the 100×2 mg/kg per day (■) as in the vehicle control group (□). Retardation was observed to be significant in the 200×2 (▵) and the 400×2 (▴) mg/kg per day groups. The rising patterns of all the acetazolamide groups were similar to that of the vehicle control group, independent of the retardation of incisor eruption. On day 13 after birth the eruption ratio was almost 100% in all groups. Pathophysiology 1998 5, 185-189DOI: (10.1016/S0928-4680(98)00019-4)

Fig. 4 50% Achievement day for the incisor eruption of rat offspring. Approximately 0.7–1.0 days retardation in the 200×2 mg/kg per day group and 0.9–1.4 days in the 400×2 mg/kg per day group were observed, but the incisor eruption was not retarded in the 100×2 mg/kg per day group. Pathophysiology 1998 5, 185-189DOI: (10.1016/S0928-4680(98)00019-4)
