Today we will cover… Daily Team Meetings Monthly Team Meetings Purpose and Format Monthly Team Meetings ACT Meeting Tools
But first… How does your agency (or past agencies) currently perform staffing? Systematically go through entire caseload? Focus on challenging cases brought up by clinicians? Any other method? What have you found to be the most productive format for staffings, and why? How long do your staffings typically last?
On a personal level, how do you feel about meetings?
The daily team meeting: basic components Format Gathering of service providers from multiple disciplines to share information Pace Team Leader keeps the pace by focusing on the roster and the 24-hour cycle
The Daily team Meeting Vitally important to the ACT process. Assures open communication between all team members. Resist the temptation to cancel the Daily Team Meeting The ACT Team Leader facilitates the meeting. Client Review = Consumers announced one at a time, allowing time for team members to report any contact since the last team meeting, and to update the team on the individual’s status. Planning for the day = Client Weekly Schedule Cards & Daily Staff Schedule
Make productive use of the time If a consumer deserves a more in-depth discussion than usual, that might require a special staff meeting for that case Keep focused on most recent contact with the consumer, current condition of the consumer, and next contact with the consumer For a skilled ACT Team: 100 consumers = 45 minutes
