Aim: Are the girls comfortable with their “places?” Do Now: Quiz HW: Paragraph: How does Claudette’s tone change from Stage 1 to Stage 2? Explain the differences in tone and use specific pieces of evidence to prove yourself right.

What is a hierarchy? a system or organization in which people or groups are ranked one above the other according to status or authority.

Claudette refers to the Pack Rule as “Know Your Place Claudette refers to the Pack Rule as “Know Your Place.” What does this mean? It means to know where you fit in the hierarchy – who is above you, who is beneath you, and how should you behave around everyone.

What are the characters’ “places?” Nuns: top of ALL packs Claudette: middle of the pack Jeanette: leader of the pack of girls Mirabella: bottom of the pack
