What is a pediatric nurse? A pediatric nurse is a nurse that is trained to work with and care for children of all ages. They can do anything from physicals to preforming surgery.

Different options in the pediatric nursing field NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) Pediatric Registered Nurse School Nurse PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) Developmental Disability Nurse

Salary range Pediatric nurses earn $52,000 to $88,850 a year. Experienced pediatric nurses can earn $100,00 or more a year.

Educational/ special training requirements You’ll need to graduate high school. You must earn a nursing degree. You’ll need experience as an RN (registered nurse). You should work with younger children as an RN for a few years.

Special qualities and abilities needed to do the job well You need to work well with children. You need to be able to handle blood and other wounds. You need to have patience and respect. My Reaction After researching on almost everything about pediatric nursing, I still want to be a pediatrician because I love working with kids.
