3rd Grade Expectations Foster independence and responsibility for their own learning Engaged listening and learning Prepare for moving onto 4th grade

Green Home Folder All communication, important papers, permission slips and homework come home in the folder. Please help your child be responsible with the folder, and monitor cleaning out the Keep at Home section.

HOMEWORK EXPECTATIONS Homework is assigned Monday-Thursday Math reinforcement of skill taught or spiral review Phonics/word study/cursive Reading 20 minutes every night can contribute greatly to your child’s education. Please find time to read together each night. Students are able to bring books home to read.

Homework is checked and corrected every morning Homework is checked and corrected every morning. At anytime your child can say they had trouble with homework and will receive help. Missing homework once or twice is ok but it will have to be done with the next day's homework after that.

Reminder about Snacks Your child needs a snack everyday. We usually have a snack around 10:00 am. Snacks in the classroom cannot have any peanut or nut ingredients. Birthday pretzels are provided each month to celebrate all birthdays
