Tips for Taking Better Photos Jocelyn Mihill

Look your subject in the eye, get on their level. Tip #1 Look your subject in the eye, get on their level.

Tip #2 Use a plain background, rather than a background with several objects; to focus more on the subject.

Move in closer to the subject to get more detail in the picture. Tip #3 Move in closer to the subject to get more detail in the picture.

Tip #4 Don’t center the most important thing right in the middle. When looking through a viewfinder put the main subject to the left or right of the photo.

Tip #5 Lock focus on the subject, which will allow the main object in the photo to be the center of attention.

Tip #6 Don’t use flash indoors. It will brighten the subject to much making it look unusually dark.

Avoid camera shake, so the picture comes out crisp and clear. Tip #7 Avoid camera shake, so the picture comes out crisp and clear.

Tip #8 Use flash during the day to brighten up dark spots where the sun isn’t naturally hitting.
