Banksy is an anonymous English graffiti artist, political activist, director, and painter. His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humor with graffiti. Banksy creates his artworks with a distinctive stenciling technique. His works of political and social commentary have been seen on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world.

Banksy began as an artist for DryBreadZ Crew (DBZ), a graffiti “gang” in Bristol, England. Banksy has been thought to be a solo artist since around 1992. By the early 2000s, Banksy relocated to London, where he began to gain notoriety and even worked on a series of international exhibits. Eventually, he decided to travel to Palestine and the West Bank, where he stenciled nine images on the Bethlehem Wall. These images were an instant hit and virally exploded in the Internet.

A world-renowned mystery man, Banksy has risen through the ranks to become one of the world's greatest street artists partly by creating an urgency to understand his character. Reflection Banksy is a very influential artist that consecutively impresses bystanders and annoys law enforcement. Banksy, being anonymous, still does more the enact change than most politicians. He does not create art for many even though his works may be being sold, he remains anonymous so his art can keep its meaning, and overall Banksy is one of the most influential artists of our time.
