Tobacco: Virginia’s Gold Vocab: Cash Crop, Indentured Servitude

Tobacco Growth Intensive Labor Indentured Servitude:  was a labour system whereby young people paid for their passage to the New World by working for an employer for a certain number of years.  African American Slaves: a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them.
