Easter

Easter is a christian festival and holiday celebrating the ressurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion. Easter is the culmination of the Passion of Christ preceded by Lent, a forty-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance. The last week of Lent is called Holy Week. The celebration of Easter varies between April 4 and May 8. Additional customs include egg hunting, the Easter Bunny, and Easter parades, which are observed by both Christians and some non-Christians.

Symbols of Easter

Is the symbol of fertility, to reproduce easily and generate large litters, besides being very attached to abundant life, relating them to the New Life Christian motto.

Eggs

The custom and tradition of the eggs are associated with Easter for centuries. Symbol of fertility and new life. The existence of life is closely linked to the egg, which symbolizes birth. The tomb of Jesus hid a new life that erupted on Easter night. Giving eggs to desire that life is renewed in us.

In ancient fighters and warriors anointed with oils, because they believed that these substances gave them strength. For us Christians, oils symbolize the Holy Spirit, who gives us strength and power to live the gospel of Jesus Christ.
