Working Age Veterans of the UK Armed Forces Population data for Oldham from the UK Census 2011

Overview On 27 March 2011: Estimated number of working age veterans (aged 16-64) in Oldham: 2,656 Veterans as a percentage of all usual Oldham residents aged 16-64: 2% This was similar to the overall prevalence of veterans living in Greater Manchester, the North West and England as a whole

Demographic data On 27 March 2011: 2,495 male veterans (94%); 165 female veterans (6%) 98% White; 2% Non-white Most veterans in older age bands: 16-24: 5% 35-39: 8% 50-54: 21% 25-29: 6% 40-44: 14% 55-59: 13% 30-34: 45-49: 17% 60-64: 10%

Self-reported general health On 27 March 2011: Most working age veterans reported their general health as very good (40%) or good (37%) 15% reported their general health as fair with only 7% rating their health as bad and 2% as very bad
