Presentation transcript:

Death of A Salesman Keeping in mind that Willy does not have Alzheimer's, why does he forget that he is driving the Studebaker? What is the most painful part of hearing Willy reminisce about his past? Biff state’s that he doesn’t know what he is supposed to want. Why does he feel this way? In what way is Happy like Willy? Why is Biff such a tragic character?

Death of A Salesman In what ways is Willy not the traditional parent? How do Willy and Linda differ when it comes to parenting? Why is Happy always trying to overshadow Biff? What is the base reason why Willy cheated on Linda? It’s sad that Willy flip flops back and forth about the way he feels about himself. Why does he do this?

Death of A Salesman In your opinion, do you think Charley understands who Willy is? Why is it so important to Willy to impress his brother Ben? Charley points out that Biff and Happy are stealing and that eventually they are going to get caught. Why does Willy seem to brush it aside? Why does Willy seem unsettled about his father? Do you think this affected him as a father to Biff and Happy?

Death of A Salesman Why is Willy always the worst when Biff comes home? Go beyond Biff didn’t live up to his idea of “success” Do you agree with Linda wanting nothing to do with Biff if he doesn’t love his father? What information do you think Biff has on Willy? Why do you think Willy is trying to commit suicide? Does it really take very little to make Willy happy?
