MY SCIENTIFIC QUESTION!!!!!?!!!!!! I will see wich salt levels make an egg float the best.

“humm I wonder why she picked this topic”,you say? I picked this topic because it sounded really fun and cool. I also picked it because I wondered if an egg could actually float in salt water! I thought that it was impossible!

My Hypothesis!!!! If I put 3 teaspoons of salt in water then it will make an egg float.

Variables Independent:Amount of salt. Dependent:If the egg floats or not. Constant:Amount of water, cup, egg.

Procedure 1.Gather materials 2.pour water into cup-10 ounces 3.put in 1 egg 4.put in 1 teaspoon of salt-stir 5.record-float or sink 6.put in 2 teaspoons of salt-stir 7.record-float or sink 8.put in 3 teaspoons of salt-stir 9.record-float or sink 10.clean up

DATA!!!! Trial 1 Trial 2 Trial 3 1 tsp. 2 tsp. 3 tsp. sink float

Graph 3 2 1 sink float float Trial 3 Trial 2 Trial 1

conclusion I will be seeing which salt levels make an egg float in water the best. I put different teaspoons of salt in water and tried to see if it would make an egg float. 1 teaspoon did not float an egg but 2 and 3 did. My data did support my hypothesis. I put 3 teaspoons of salt in water and it made an egg float. I learned that salt water can float an egg. No errors occured. I wouldn't do anything different.
