Was the decision constitutional? 8th/Unit 2 “Louisiana Purchase” Formative Performance Task 1 SUBSTITUTION Description of Formative Performance Task: Through this power point, you will learn why the president, Thomas Jefferson, decided to buy the Louisiana Territory. Steps: Take out a sheet of paper and pencil to take notes. Listen to the teacher explains each page of the power point. On your sheet, write questions that you have during the presentation. When the teacher asks if they have questions, you raise your hand to ask your questions or comments. At the end of the class, you will have to write on a flash card the answer to  "Why the president, Thomas Jefferson, of the United States decided to buy the Louisiana Territory?" Description of Formative Performance Task: Through this game "plickers," you will learn the most important information of the Louisiana Purchase. Plickers Featured Tech Tools: Phone or I-pod and projector connected to a device with internet access Steps: The teacher will give you a "plickers card". Read the question on the screen and determine your answer. When the teacher tells you to raise your cards, you will pick them up so that the teacher can scan your card.
