QUEST Presentation Tips & Procedures
40 – 30 – 20 Goal Slide Headings = 40 Point Font Slide Text = 30 Point Font Words Per Slide = 20 Don’t kill your presentation with excessive bullets
Make it Visual Limit text in your projects Use charts, graphs, illustrations, or pictures Present your project without reading from your Power Point/Prezi Use cue cards if necessary Make eye contact with the audience
Show Some Energy Project your voice Smile and appear confident Use vocal variety by varying speed and pitch of speech Use hand gestures Involve the audience
Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice your presentation with your tri-fold display board and project Decide who will say what Get feedback from an audience (we will practice this today)
Use an Anchor Line An anchor line is a your group’s 1 key point or statement that you want the audience to remember Use the anchor line several times in your speech
Tell A Story Make your QUEST project personal by telling an anecdotal story about the problem/solution Help the audience see why you are passionate about your topic

Set Up Diagram You will have ten (10) minutes to set up for your presentation in Simpson Hall Charge your computer/laptop tonight Two QUEST groups per table
Presentation Diagram 2 members of your group should stand on either side of your project while presenting to your peers/QUEST coach.
Evaluation Forms Tomorrow you will be evaluating 4 projects for each grade level You will choose your favorite project from each grade level The top 5 projects from each grade level will compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals on Thursday, May 29, 2014.

Peer Review Each group will have about 10 minutes to practice presenting your project in class today. One evaluation form will be filled out for each group with comments and suggestions generated from the class based on your presentation.
