DAILY BULLETIN – Monday 13th May 2019   Thought For The Week – Mental Health Awareness   This week the focus is on ‘Body Image’. Society does not always allow us to be ‘comfortable in our own skin’. The concept of what our body ‘should’ look like can be distorted by what we see on social media and other platforms and you can make an unfair comparison with an image that is highly ‘doctored’. The more comfortable you are with your body, the greater your overall wellbeing, and less likely you are to engage in destructive behaviours. Talk about your feelings Talking about your feelings can help you stay in good mental health and deal with times when you feel troubled. Keep active Regular exercise can boost your self-esteem and can help you concentrate, sleep, and look and feel better. Exercise keeps the brain and your other vital organs healthy, and is also a significant benefit towards improving your mental health.
