THE CELL CYCLE
The Cell Cycle consists of: Interphase Mitosis Cytokinesis
What happens during interphase? The cell grows The cell works The cell copies DNA
What happens during mitosis? The nucleus divides to form two nuclei
What happens during cytokinesis? The cytoplasm divides forming two cells

What happens during prophase? The chromosomes condense. The chromosomes consists of two identical copies.
What happens during metaphase? The chromosomes move to the middle of the cell.
What happens during anaphase? The chromosomes move apart to opposite ends of the cell.
What happens during telophase? The chromosomes gather at opposite poles and two nuclei form.
