Adjustment in Origin Hyun Hee Shim Department of Physics Kangwon National University

Introduction Each graph window must contain layer. The layer plays an important part in analysis of graph. So we study adjustment the layer. 1. Understanding Layers 2. Adjustment the title 3. Adjustment the layer 4. Grid lines tab.

Understanding the layer The layer is the fundamental building block for Origin graphs. A layer is an object consisting of one set of axes axis Title

Adjustment the Title When we analyze the graph, we will see the title. Because, we can analysis data through the each title for axis 1. For adjustment the title, first we double click the title. Title 2. Window of Text Control appear. 3. Here adjust. (put the name of data)

Adjustment the layer To customize the range to data displayed in graph, you can modify the x, y. 1. To change the axis scale, double click on the x or y axis. 2.select the scale tab. 4. Type the desired starting / final axis scale value in the Form/To text box. 3. Select Horizontal, Vertical from the selection list box.

The Grid Lines Tab We can display the Grid in Origin. 1. Select the Grid Lines tab. 2.Select the Major/Minor Grids check box to display major/Minor grids. 3.After you click the ‘defined’, you can see the Grid lines.
