Tuesday April 4, 2016 Harriet Tubman was born in to slavery. In 1849, she excaped from a Maryland plantation. She would devote the rest of her life to helping other slaves gain there freedom. She was a leader of the Underground Railroad, a network of secret places ware slaves could stay on their way to the North. During the civil War, she serve as a cook a nurse, and a union spy. Tubman dyed in March 1913. Her tombstone reads, Servant of God, Well Done.”

Romeo and Juliet: Film Comparison! Today, we’re going to continue watching our two film versions of Romeo and Juliet. Like last time, we’re going to compare the two films using a graphic organizer. In this organizer, you will need to compare and contrast two things: the sword fight and one character. After each, it will be your job to decide which film version you prefer. Also, remember: your character journals are due today!
