Watercolor final project Painting Day 4 Watercolor final project

Agenda Go over what we did last time. Listen and watch demonstration of how to paint the background of your watercolor painting. Spend the rest of class working on your watercolor painting. Exit pass

Last time We went over the steps to creating a watercolor resist tree painting. Everyone taped down their paper for this project and began drawing the trees. Once done everyone put rubber cement in the spaces where the trees would be.

Step 4 Remove the glue by rubbing it with your fingers

Step 5 Add leaves and color to tree to create depth.

Once completed Let dry on board Fill out artist statement Fill out Rubric

Raise your hand now if you have any questions… This is the time to ask questions about what we have covered. Raise your hand now if you have any questions…

The assignment Paint a wash over the background of at least two colors blending together. Dry your painting. Remove the glue from your painting by rubbing at it. Once all the glue is removed you will start painting in the shadows of your trees using the blending technique I showed you. Make sure you are mixing blue in with your shadow not just black.

Things to turn in & check. Is your name on your starter assignment & your watercolor paper? Did you turn in your Starter Assignment with all questions answered? Did you finish painting your background and removing the glue once dry? Did you turn in your disclosure statement that was due last time? Have you paid your class fees? If so did you turn in the receipt? If not make sure you pay soon.
