Practicing 𝑎= Δ𝑣 𝑡 A dog is sitting on the porch watching the birds. All of a sudden he sees a squirrel and takes off running. After 10 seconds the dog’s final velocity is 20 m/s. What is the dog’s acceleration? The acceleration due to gravity is 10 m/s^2. A sky diver jumps out of a plane with an initial velocity of 5 m/s. He then falls for 10 seconds before checking his speedometer watch. What is his final velocity when he checks it?
