Year 5 Trip to Glan Llyn 13th – 15th March 2019

Location

Facilities “The centre has 55 en-suite bedrooms which can sleep up to two, four, six or eight. We can accommodate up to 250 residents at a time, with around 40 of these beds allocated to group leaders. There are 5 accommodation blocks that can be divided into 7 separate areas.”

Food Breakfast, lunch, tea and supper are provided with healthy options and nutritious meals. Local suppliers and produce are used wherever possible. The centre can cater for dietary needs, allergies, cultural background and religious beliefs.

What they will need.. Warm Clothes – including gloves, hat etc. Waterproof coat a must! Waterproof trousers useful. Night Clothes, slippers, cuddly toy! Toiletries Towel Trainers / Shoes / shoes – trainers are likely to get either wet or muddy at some point, so a spare pair is a good idea. Plenty of layers – long sleeve tops no jeans for activities. A “nice” outfit and possibly shoes for disco. Sleeping Bag and Pillow Case £10 spending money maximum – in change is always good. Bin Bag labelled with their name for wet/dirty clothing. Treats are fine in moderation! No eating/drinking allowed on the bus. Please ensure that ALL items are labelled with your child’s name. Please remember to return the health form and bring labelled medicines on the morning of departure. Pupils will need to carry their luggage to their rooms themselves – please bear this in mind!

The Do Not’s No electronic equipment No aerosols No mobile phones Don’t over indulge on sweets! Children must not misbehave! Best behaviour, as expected in school.

Contact We will not be contacting you, only if there is a problem. We will be leaving school approx. 10:15 School will send a text to let you know we have arrived and what time we are expected back home-collect from school on return. Signal is very poor at Glan Llyn and so there will unfortunately be no photos sent to the website while we are there. We will arrange a date for photographs to be viewed.
