Welcome to Our Class!

All About Me My experience My name is Hannah Krug. I am a Georgia native and currently live in Kennesaw, Georgia. This is my fifth year with the Cobb County school system. I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree from Kennesaw State University and am currently pursuing my Master’s of Education from KSU.This is my third year in First Grade! I absolutely love it and Compton is the best school around!  Please let me know if you ever have any questions or concerns about your child. You can contact me through the school phone-770.222.3700, email-Hannah.Krug@cobbk12.org. You can also contact me via Class DOJO or the student agenda. My experience

Classroom Community Expectations for Behavior Our classroom is a community. In our community, we have rules to help us get along with each other. Our class rules are: Respect and Teamwork always! DOJO points= rewards

My Goals To provide a meaningful, enriching, and challenging learning environment for all students. To equip students with the necessary skills to be successful this year and in the future. We talk a lot about strategies and when and when not to take a short cut! My hope is to make things easier.

Homework Most Important ….Read, Read ,and Read! Reading to Self builds Comprehension Reading to Others helps with decoding skills Listening to someone read builds Fluency! Sight Words help to build confident readers! Please record your child’s books they read in their agenda. I will be checking each morning for books and signatures!

Homework Phonics: An extension of reading/writing. It is crucial to your child’s academic success. Completing phonics homework is very important! Math: Math skills that will help to retain strategies previously taught (review) Writing/penmanship: Will begin to write about books previously read using strategies learned in class.
