Peoples of North America Arctic and North West Region The Inuit [Eskimos] have inhabited the region. Lived by hunting and fishing Kwakiutl, Nootka and Haida Peoples lived along the pacific coast of Southern Alaska to Northern California. They collected shell fish and hunted whales and seals.
