About Me Born and raised in MI, moved to AZ for 10yrs when I graduated, and have been exploring CO for 2yrs. Graduated from Western Michigan with a bachelors degree in Biology and secondary Ed. I am going into my 12th year of teaching. I have two kiddos, a husband, and a dog. I love trying new things, spending time with my family, laughing, working out, hiking, and anything to do with science.

Homework Amount will vary Assignments due at the beginning of class (unless told differently) Time given in class for individual and group work Use your study hall well Effective use of in-school time will reduce the amount of homework at night Help and encourage your students to use their planners. They are the first line for homework, then IC, then me.

Students Will……. Learn a lot of life science. Learn to be scientists – make mistakes, gather data, synthesize ideas across topics (and content areas), communicate ideas, and think critically. Learn how to take notes and how to study. Do some difficult advanced labs. Be pushed to grow. Continue to be self-advocates, responsible for what they learn in the course of their education. Learn and do amazing things throughout the course and into the STEM Engineering Academy
