Learning Targets I will be able to analyze how a writer draws on and transforms source materials in a specific work by comparing interpretations of Romeo and Juliet. I will be able to appreciate how the arts and humanities contribute to and shape culture and our understanding of culture.
Act V – Film Viewing Task Note your reactions and observations you watch each film version of Romeo and Juliet. Write down a few key words to describe characters, setting, tone, mood, etc. How well does each version “match” the images you created in your mind while reading? What do the similarities/differences between each interpretation suggest about the time period in which each film was made?
Group Activity Three Column Comparison Chart Task: In your group, create a three column comparison chart on your poster to note the similarities and differences between each film.
