Bell Ringer: Tuesday, January 10th Put your homework on your desk! After you’ve finished these sentences, get your BNW packet out. Make sure that you’ve filled out some characteristics for DHC, Mr. Foster, and Lenina. Also, make sure you’ve answered questions 1 and 2 for chapter 1!

After reading chapter 1… Discuss… What are your impressions of this world so far? If you are disturbed by this world, think about WHY you might be… What do you think about the process in which the society “raises” people? What are some of the benefits and drawbacks to this method? So far, what do you think of Huxley’s predictions? Do you think some of them hold true today? Are there some predictions that are dated?
