Orientation Now you have arrived in Great Britain & Ireland we would like you to study hard, but we’d also like you to have a good time. Take the opportunity to learn about the varied cultures and social aspects of your chosen place of study. Rotarians are friendly people and will give you the chance to make new friendships.

A short history lesson! Rotary started in Chicago in 1905. Rotary arrived in the British Isles in 1911. The Rotary Foundation, our charity, was started in 1917. In 1947 our Foundation began awarding Scholarships
