Moor Hall Primary School Reading Workshops for Parents – Spring Term 2019

Welcome Thank you for attending the workshop today. As a school, we strongly believe that reading is a crucial skill that underpins all areas of the school curriculum and wider life.

Reading provision at Moor Hall - EYFS/KS1 Daily phonics sessions/Guided Reading session (30 minutes each day) Individual reading with an adult at least once each week Daily English lessons which are text rich and encompass all aspects of reading Story sessions take place from 3:00pm across the school – teacher led Class book corners to develop reading for pleasure Moor Hall Reading Challenge Moor Hall Book Week- Where my wellies take me…
