A little bit of French Cramp Title 1 School A Program Improvement school is one that has not made adequate yearly progress for two consecutive years. Under adequate yearly progress (AYP) criteria adopted by the State Board of Education, California districts, schools, and numerically significant student subgroups within districts and schools must do the following: • Meet annual measurable objectives in reading/language arts and mathematics • Demonstrate a 95% participation rate on assessments in reading/language arts and mathematics • Demonstrate progress on the Academic Performance Index (API), which is an additional academic indicator for adequate yearly progress • For grades 9-12 only, demonstrate progress on the graduation rate of its students

What is School Culture? School culture refers to the beliefs, norms and priorities that drive actions and thinking of people within a school community. Culture is put in place by the teaching staff, subordinate staff and students who are the stakeholders hence can be easily assimilated depending on the environment within which the school exists. Assimilation of a culture is never instantaneous but rather takes time for results to be seen.
