Food Source A rattlesnake eats only meat it is a carnivore The diet for a rattlesnakes is mice, frogs, lizards, squirrels, and other small animals Rattlesnakes eat the food they eat because there small enough and there meat not plants. Also if the rattlesnake lives in the mountains the rattlesnake can find its food under rocks, sticks, leaves and in tree’s.

Functions Pits, help because they help smell were the animals (or prey)are. Fangs, help the snake kill and poison their prey which helps. Scales, help the snake blend in with their surroundings. Tongue, helps smell where the animal (or prey) is.

Basic Needs Eyes, to help see the animal their eating. Rattle, to help scare away their prey. Stomach, to help digest the animal the snakes has ate.

Habitat The habitat for a rattlesnakes is the mountains or a dessert because 1. It gives a rattlesnake places to hide. 2. It will keep rattlesnakes warm. 3. Also it will have enough food for rattlesnakes.
