How were parts called? The parts were called provinces. The most famous provinces: Sicily Corsica Sardinia Macedonia Gaul Cyprus Syria Egypt

What were the most famous Roman towns? They were Roma, Konstantinopol, Ravenna and Mediolan.

In which todays countries are they situated? Roma in Italy, Konstantinopol in Turkey, Ravenna in Italy and Mediolan in Italy. Rome is the capital of Italy.

What were their Roman names and what are their names now? Roma is still Rome, Konstantinopol is now Istambul, Ravenna is still Ravenna and Mediolan is now Milán.

What were the most imporant buildings and their function? Colosseum – there were gladiators‘ fights. Forum Romanum – it was the centre of the town. The Spa –was an ancient Roman public bath.

Another imporant Roman buildings Pantheon – it was ancient circular temple. It is in Rome in Italy. The temple was bulit by Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa.

Water supply, sewerage system, storing food in Roman towns Water supply- there were water pipes. Sewerage system - around the roads were ditches. Food - they stored it in carafas.

How were the towns protected? They were protected with stone walls and towers.
