A Look at Next Week… Phonetic Connection: h, Ii, Jj, Kk Reading: Mrs. Wishy Washy, Wishy Washy Day Writing: Wishy Washy writing Unit Studies: Farm Math: Review of 2d shapes, CGI story problems This week, we discussed the nursery rhymes Hickory Dickory Dock and Little Miss Muffet. We worked on creating some sentences that described ourselves and even made a person to go with them! We were so excited for you to see them at Open House. We talked about the five senses and even had a smell and taste test. In math, we continued to practice writing our numbers and discussed how to be efficient mathematicians. Important Dates Words of the Week October 7: Fire Prevention Day October 16: Picture Day October 22-23: Parent Teacher Conferences October 24: Pumpkin Patch like, am What Can You Do at Home? Visit our Website Things you can practice at home include writing numbers 0-5 and counting small groups of objects. Also, your child may benefit from practicing the letters A – H (upper and lower case). If you’ve noticed that your child has had trouble writing his or her name, this would be a great skill to work on at home! Thank you!
