Major Religions of India % Hindus 78.35% Muslims 14.2% Christians 2.34% Sikhs 1.87% Buddhists .77% Jains .41% India currently has 1.27 billion people. It will become the world’s most populated country in 2025.

Monotheism Review Mono = one Theism = Belief in a god Mono + theism = belief that there is only one god.

All three of these religions worship the same god. Examples Judaism = G-d (real name is not said out loud) Christianity = God Islam = (Allah) All three of these religions worship the same god.

Polytheism Poly = many Theism = belief in god Poly + theism = belief that there are many gods
