The Most Dangerous Game Presentation by Reese Shohet Author: Richard Edward Connell

Conflict Man Vs Nature Rainsford Vs Island Rainford’s boat sunk from a wave and he got trapped on an island. Man vs Man Rainsford Vs General Zerof Rainsford was running away from General Zerof in a hunting game and if he survived for three day’s General Zerof would let him free. In the end Rainsford kill General Zerof.

Characters Rainsford= The main protagonist. Gets trapped on an island. He is being hunted by the general. He is a famous hunter and believes that animals have no feelings. General Zaroff= The main antagonist. He is trying to kill Rainsford. He is Russian. He is a very good hunter. Ivan= General Zaroff’s special member who ran the torture in a Russian Castle. Rainsford kill him by making a trap and stabbing him with a knife. General Zaroff uses him as the other option than the hunt. Witney= The man who travels with rainsford on the boat. He is not in the book after the boat crashed. Another hunter. Spots out the ship-trapping island. Captain= Sails the boat. Notices gun shots.

Setting The setting of “The Most Dangerous Game” is mostly on an island. Other important places are on the cot when the gunshots happened and also when they crashed and put Rainsford on the island. The house on the hotel when General Zaroff got stabbed and were Rainsford had a comfortable bed. The last important place in the book was the jungle on the island where Rainsford has to hide from general Zaroff attacking him and also his hounds were attacking as well.

Overview Title: “The Most Dangerous Game” Author: Richard Edward Connell Plot: Rainsford goes to a ship-trap island and gets hunted by a russian general named Zaroff. Rising action: Rainsford gets trapped on an island. Falling Action: Rainsford gets away from the hounds and Zaroff. Conclusion: Rainsford kill general Zaroff by stabbing him in the general’s own bed where he’d least expect it.
