Lab Equipment for Zoology

Dissection Tray and Pad Dissection pans are used to hold specimens.

Magnifying glass A magnifying glass is used to look at small objects.

Medicine/Eye dropper An eye dropper is used to release or take up small amounts of liquid.

Scalpel A scalpel is used for cutting

Forceps Forceps are used to hold small objects

Metric ruler A metric ruler is used to measure length.

Probe A probe is used to explore specimens.

Dissection Pins Dissection Pins help hold back tissue in order to observe the specimen more closely.

Dissection Scissors Dissection scissors are used to cut through skin, muscle and bone.

Beaker A beaker holds liquids and measures volume.
