Professional Development Session: Development of online Fun learning games for Classroom Assessments in Chemistry

Standard for Assessment School Based Assessment (SBA) can serve to motivate students by requiring them to engage in meaningful activities (Education Bureau, 2014, p. 129)

TEACHER LEARNING OUTCOMES Goal 1: Teachers will learn and develop the skill in creating a Kahoot quiz game for classroom assessement. The quiz needs to use words or videos or images for presenting the questions. Teacher Learning Outcome : Master the basic skill in creating a Kahoot quiz game and words, videos and images are used within those questions.

TEACHER LEARNING OUTCOMES Goal 2: Teachers will create a Kahoot game on Chemistry with 30 questions for classroom assessment and get the statistical of their participants in the game Teacher Learning Outcome : Create a Kahoot game on Chemistry with 30 questions presented in either words, videos or images format for classroom assessment. In addition, teacher can get the statistical data of their participants in their Kahoot game.

Diversity and Differentiation For color blindness user, Kahoot displays each answer of the questions not only in different colors but also with different shapes of polygons within the check box.

Prior Knowledge Teachers need to prepare 30 questions on Chemistry with some questions presented by words or watching video or display in an image.

Summative assessment Learner needs to demonstrate their ability in creating a Kahoot online quiz with either using words, videos or images in their questions. Learner needs to create a Kahoot Chemistry Quiz game and be able to get the statistics of each participant in the game for classroom assessment.
