Overview Date: September 9th, 2016 Venue: ARIB, Tokyo Japan Host: ARIB and TTC (Joint Hosts) Presentations:　 11 speakers from oneM2M IM companies Attendees: 190 Language: Japanese

　　 Summary World’s first comprehensive explanatory seminar session for oneM2M Release2 set of specifications 11 speakers, all globally active in oneM2M Technical Plenary, covered the whole scope of the Release2 Audience from wide variety of industries filled up the conference venue Active Q&A discussion session closed the successful event

Speakers (1) Mr. Ikuo Yamasaki (NTT) TTC oneM2M WG Vice Chair performed overall MC and delivered opening and closing remarks Mr. Norikazu “Nick” Yamasaki (KDDI)　 TTC oneM2M WG Chair oneM2M Steering Committee Vice Chair Technical Plenary Vice Chair described overall summary of brand-new Release2 specifications and the movement around product testing and certification Mr. Nobuyuki Uchida (Qualcomm Japan)　 ARIB oneM2M WG Vice Chair oneM2M TS-0004 Rapporteur explained the interworking architecture and resource mapping between oneM2M and AllJoyn/OIC

　　 Speakers (2) Mr. Toru Yamada (NEC)　 depicted the mechanism of interworking with OMA Lightweight M2M and coordination with 3GPP based on Release 13; also, introduced the semantics functionality that enables linkage between oneM2M platform and other platform utilizing existing examples Mr. Shingo Fujimoto (Fujitsu)　 oneM2M Protocol WG Vice Chair highlighted the essence of Release 2 revisions for communication protocols and how the security aspects are strengthened Mr. Nobuhiro Okui (KDDI)　 introduced privacy protection architecture deploying Privacy Policy Manager(PPM) newly defined in Release2

　　 Speakers (3) Mr. Yoshihisa Ito (NTT)　 introduced the application for home domain such as smart home or HEMS, also the activity to specify the common device management model collaborated with HGI Mr. Taizo Kinoshita (Hitachi)　 described the enablement for industry domain settled the discussion in Release2 Mr. Hiroyuki Kubo (Hitachi)　 explained the direction of application of ongoing work of vehicular domain enablement

Speakers (4) Mr. Takeshi Ihara (NTT DOCOMO) ARIB oneM2M WG Chair　 provided overview of mapping of applications to oneM2M functional architecture and the implementation procedure using simple use cases targeting application developers Mr. Hiroyuki Maeomichi (NTT)　 summarized the TS-0013 specification that defines the procedure for interoperability testing and reported the previous test events Mr. Osamu Yamashita (Anritsu)　 explained the ongoing discussion on mechanism, organization and issues to implement certification program and the activity in other countries

Release 3 Direction & Future Event For concluding the whole session, Mr. Nick Yamasaki (KDDI) presented expecting direction towards Release 3 and plan for upcoming showcase event, and moderated the Q&A discussion for entire session. Q&A Session 　 Enthusiastic and extensive Q&A session was conducted. Variety of questions, asked of almost all the speakers, indicate wide interest areas of the audience
